Everyone has a happy place. For me, it’s X-Core on Piedmont Ave. It’s a boutique fitness studio created by Elaine Pavich and Cora Wo. The two met while working for another studio in San Francisco when they decided to venture out on their own. Together they managed to create a unique and dedicated community around a fun-filled, intense workout.
xBurn is a high intensity Pilates class on a reformer. xBurn builds core strength, tones & elongates the muscles, improves flexibility & posture while preventing injuries. This workout integrates the key elements of resistance and counter-resistance in a sequence that allows you to get the most of every move. It encourages maximum exertion of one muscle group at a time in a low impact workout. xBurn is truly one of the best workouts I have ever experienced and the best part is you are done in 40 minutes!
xCLIMB is a 30-minute indoor climbing class that features high-intensity cardio and rhythm-based choreography. The VersaClimber is uniquely designed to provide a true total body, low impact, cardio workout for superior fat and calorie burning results. Research shows that Climbing for even just 20 minutes burns 206% more fat and calories than a comparable treadmill workout. xClimb is also a low impact, non-traumatic workout – it’s ideal for people who have previous lower body injuries or want to avoid high impact exercise.
