While most Bay Area public schools remain closed almost all schools in Marin County are open. The San Rafael City Schools Superintendent opened his 7 elementary schools in November.

Most Bay Area public schools are enduring the longest closure in the world, but Jim Hogeboom the San Rafael City Schools Superintendent opened elementary schools in November and says there have been zero cases of school based transmission. He hopes to open the middle and high schools in March with K-12 back for full time in person learning by May or June.
