March Mingle is back!
I was proud to be the premium sponsor of the largest fundraiser for Piedmont Middle School.
“I love it!” said Piedmont Middle School parent Samantha Block. “I love the fact that everyone is coming together and connecting.”
Organizers say they sold 100 tickets, which will help them reach their goal of raising $17,000.
Why is the money needed?
That is what I asked March Mingle organizer and Piedmont Middle School parent Charlotte Ero. “Well, the money goes to the middle school parent club and we mainly support ASB,” Charlotte told me.
“We support the lunchtime clubs, all the dances that our kids go to, the homework clubs, diversity day, the carnivals and all that fun stuff that I think every student participates in somehow.”
Piedmont Middle School depends on March Mingle
Karyn Shipp, the middle school principal says March Mingle is a crucial fundraiser for the school. “I mean it’s huge,” she said.
“We cannot provide all the things that we’re able to do without the fundraiser, the support, the time and the money from the community. We rely on it to do basic art projects, clubs, and that’s what the kids really thrive on.”
If the $17,000 fundraising goal isn’t met, Karyn says cuts will be made. But she’s confident the Piedmont community will raise the funds.
